The app
BayAreaTX for iPhone
The same local guide, in your pocket: what's on this weekend, where to eat, and a running list of the places you've been.
Coming soon to the App Store. Until then, everything is here on the site.
What it does
- This weekend's picks. The best of Friday to Sunday across Bay Area Houston, plus today's events, the weekly regulars and the Houston games and shows a short drive away.
- Add to Apple or Google Calendar. One tap puts an event on your calendar with the time, place and a link back to the organizer.
- Share. Send an event or a place to a friend. The link opens in the app if they have it, or on this site if they don't.
- Passport stamps. Stamp the places you've been, add a note or a photo, and work through lists like the beaches of Galveston County, the area's breweries and every public library.
- The Thursday nudge. An optional reminder on Thursday afternoon with the weekend's top picks, so the plan is made before Friday.
Private by design
No account and no ads. Your stamps, notes and photos stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, and your location never leaves the phone. The details are in our privacy policy.
